We’ve answered some of the questions you might have about our service. If there are things you are still unsure about, please get in touch and we’ll be sure to help you.
How does it work?
Once signed up for the premium plan, you will be directed to join our private Discord server. Once there, there'll be a few instructions for you to follow, and some information as to how our server works. It's quite simple really, you’ll have access to all of our channels* dedicated to the products we watch, and you can choose which ones to mute and which to follow.
*Discord channels are specific “rooms”, which you can allow notifications for and get alerted for only the products you’re interested in.
Why Discord?
Firstly, you can choose to get notifications just for the specific product you’re after. We want to track stock for an array of products, but we understand you don’t want a barrage of notifications for a bunch of different products at once. So with our product specific channels, you can turn on notifications only for the product you’re focusing on at the time.
Their alerts are super fast too. As soon as our watcher scripts notice a change on a page, we can pass that onto our Discord “Stockbot” immediately. We find that the Discord alerts get out faster and more reliably on average than twitter and other platforms.
We are looking at more ways to get our alerts to you, though, and as a member you will be the first to know about it.
How do subscriptions work?
Subscriptions have been suspended due to our service being sunsetted over the coming months. Further information can be found on our privacy page.
How are you different to scalpers?
Scalpers use scripts and bots to ensure they can buy as many products as possible for the sake of reselling and making (unethical) profits. We use scripts only to check for stock changes on product pages, and automatically send out alerts to all our members so they’ve got the best chance at getting themselves the product they’re after. Scalpers are in it for the profit, we’re in it to help the everyday person get the product they want.
Are you going to track other products?
We’re focusing solely on the PS5 for now, so we can make sure we’re providing the best service possible before we expand. Once we’re happy we’ve done that, we will be looking at covering the latest gen XBOX’s, Nintendo Switch’s and PC graphics cards. We also want to hear what products YOU want us to watch, so if there’s a product that you’re after, we want to hear about it.
